Development of Gas Treatment Technology for Clean and Low-Carbon Applications

In order to accelerate the commercialization of chemical looping process (CLP), this project will count on the existing technigues, which are related to synthesis of oxygen carriers and properties analysis, to conduct advanced studies on analysis of conversion ratio of carbonous fuel and outlet CO2 concentration in reactor level. At the same time, international cooperation will be implemented with famous research insititutes involving in this field, such as Chalmers or Vienna University of Technology. The work will focus on fluidization techniques and particulate transportation mechanisms, so as to design cold/hot-model flow systems and develop operational experience. Before putting CLP in practice, the reliability of operation in kW-class chemical looping apparatus will be verified. Domestic relatied industries can develop low-carbon polygeneration or hydrogen economy by CLP technologies in the future.
